Worship God In Spirit And In Truth
For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
In the Gospel of John chapter four, we read about the encounter of Jesus with a Samaritan woman. It is a fascinating dialogue across many obstacles of gender, culture, race, and history. She brought up an important question that is still relevant today, where does one worship God? The answer Jesus gave is at the core of the gospel, "Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
Are you still trying to worship God through religion and ritual? Come to Jesus. It doesn't matter where you are or what religion you belong to; you can worship God. True worship is in spirit and in truth. Worship is to see the truth about God in the Word of God, and in response, express worship to Him in our spirit. This spiritual expression then flows into our emotions and ultimately into our physical bodies through actions, like song, service, love, and sacrifice. Worship is our first core value because we intend everything we do to be an act of worship to God. Our response to His surpassing glory is to express our praise and worship through prayer, songs, and projects that educate, train, equip, and help communities everywhere. Join us today. We offer you many ways to express your worship to God. You can join an online group or provide financial support for our projects, or you can even volunteer to work at a K12 school.
